I hope there’s a The Living Daylights Vantage coming soon.

Sean Connery and his Bond movies are disgustingly overrated.
There’s my daily hot take. Handle with oven gloves if necessary.

I find From Russia with Love and You Only Live Twice qui te titillating.
But he’s #5 on my list for a reason.

OHMSS is one of THE best early bonds and I don’t care what people say.

It’s the best until you hit the Moore movies, specifically The Spy Who Loved Me.

OHMSS is the The Last Jedi of Bond films. “Oh, we have to change some things, so let’s change some other things as well to make it fresh and try some things we haven’t done before... and all the fans who don’t like it can suck it. Actually, forget about those other things, let’s focus on just annoying the fans.”
It has tight dialog scenes, a mostly coherent plot, well executed action sequences, but it all comes together as so highly constructed and artificial it pisses me off. It doesn’t believe in itself, and it lets you, the fan, know that believing in itself would be sinking to
your level.
Goldfinger is only cheap and cheesy, but endearingly so.
Moonraker, to take an example of low Moore period, has contempt for both you and itself, like a depressive drunk.
On the other hand, I like The Living Daylights, so...

You may be right. Its certainly the best pre-Brosnan Bond.

Roger moore is the worst. he’s like a Mr. Magoo bond. Where he always looks out of place and the only reason he doesn’t die is because the script calls for him to live.

Moore used to be my least favorite, but he’s grown on me. His charm comforts me so much, and his death hit me harder than I expected so that might be why I’ve grown so much fondness for him.

His movies are better than the conery era, but i really can’t stand him as a bond. Hear he was a nice guy though.

See, I prefer a more realistic Bond, but I know that sometimes a more lighthearted world saving hero is needed.

well, he’s certainly better than the angry bond (dalton)

Those two movies do have a couple such scenes worth a rewind and rewatch, just to “make certain.”
